Client Overview: Our client is a leading children’s apparel retailer with a strong omnichannel presence across stores and e-commerce channels. The company has a long-standing reputation in the fashion industry and a significant nationwide retail footprint. They are seeking a Denim Designer to join their team. Salary/Hourly Rate: $90k – $100k Annually Position Overview: The Denim Designer will oversee the design process from conception to final prototype for denim across various divisions and age groups. This role is fully responsible for the entire product design process, including market research, designing, sketching, wash development, specification, and fit. The Designer will build effective collaborative relationships and maintain the unique look, integrity, and vision of the brand. Responsibilities of the Denim Designer: Research competitive markets to identify new trends, fabrics, and techniques. Ensure product consistency with market trends while maintaining brand identity and business strategy. Conceptualize and execute silhouette, wash, fit, and styling directions. Sketch and color assigned categories using Illustrator. Ensure production and sampling packages are accurate and complete. Partner with Merchandising Team to set seasonal framework and align creative ideas with business goals. Set seasonal fabric, wash, and trim direction, collaborating with Product Development, Production, and R&D Teams regarding QA results and development issues. Set direction of fit and provide final approval by collaborating with Technical Design. Maintain daily communication with Merchandising, Product Development, Production, and Technical Design teams regarding development
