Technical Designer - Menswear

DescriptionReports to: Head of Design / BuyerRole OverviewSupports the Menswear Design teams in producing technical drawings and excel workbooks for styles, through teamwork with the Mens Designers and Garment Techs.Responsibilities And DutiesProduce Mens technical workbooks for sending to the factories, including:Fully annotated technical drawingsDiagrams of construction & techniquesPrint scaling and placementsMeticulous in completing fabric and trim informationProto specs & Measuring GuidesAmending styles and updating workbooks as required after fittingsWorking closely with Designers to develop the designsWorking closely with the Garment Tech team to problem solve finishings for styles demonstrating a depth of knowledge of construction for different types of styles in line with the Jaded identity and factory abilityAd hoc flexible support for the design teams to help find solutions for final designsContribute to keeping the Tech Design Ai libraries and Trim Worksheets up to dateBeing responsive and positive to feedback, proactive in creating strong cross divisional relationships and striving for seeking efficient solutionsRequirements4 or more years of Menswear Apparel Design experienceExperience working with overseas suppliers or factoriesProficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop & Excel and Microsoft officeStrong knowledge and understanding of garment constructionAbility to prioritise, managing multiple deadlines and heavy workloads to strict deadlinesConfidence and ability to work at pace and independentlyA problem solver, identifying issues immediatelyTrend-focused with an eye for detailCapable of working autonomously and making strong creative decisions.Flexible working approach, diligent and able to adapt to the needs of the teamGreat understanding of the Jaded London brand and customer Strong Team player and passionate for the brand and its success.Benefits50% Employee Discount24 days holiday per year (plus bank holidays)A paid day off on your birthdayA pa
