Job DescriptionOur client is seeking an Apparel Designer to focus on Missy Wovens (Private Label- Macy’s Experience) for a major department store customer. This role is ideal for someone with strong current or recent Macy’s experience, a deep understanding of the Missy customer, and the ability to take product from concept through final execution. This is a collaborative position working closely with merchandising, product development, and production to create commercially successful collections.What You’ll Be DoingDesign trend-right Missy Wovens (Private Label) collections from concept through final executionCreate sketches, CADs, color stories, and seasonal design presentationsResearch market trends, competition, and new opportunitiesPartner closely with merchandising and product development on line planning and product strategyDevelop fabrics, trims, color palettes, and silhouette directionAttend fittings and collaborate on garment construction, fit, and executionEnsure product aligns with customer needs, brand positioning, and business goalsManage multiple projects and seasonal deadlines in a fast-paced environmentWork cross-functionally throughout the design and development processWhat They’re Looking ForStrong current or recent Macy’s experience requiredExperience designing within Missy WovensProven ability to create commercially successful product for department store customersStrong sketching, CAD, and presentation skillsStrong understanding of fabrications, garment construction, fit, and product developmentAbility to identify trends and translate them into customer-right productExcellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skillsHighly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Show more Show less
