This role provides an opportunity to think, dream, and create, seeking designers who are visionaries and leaders. Macy’s values original design, fostering a supportive Design community that prioritizes innovation and teamwork.What You Will DoDevelop an understanding and skills in researching category, trend, and customer preferencesAssist the Design Team in aligning with the Private Brand direction by incorporating materials, trims, silhouettes, colors, and patternsExpand design knowledge by supporting the team in executing a strategic vision with a progressive, customer-centric approach, contributing to overall product strategy and merchandise objectivesAssist in preparing presentation materials and set-up for design-led meetingsContribute to in-season design changes for the department and vendorsStrengthen skills for active participation in cross-functional team meetings, summarizing action points for the managerCollaborate closely with the people leader to meet deadlines and understand priority and workload expectationsAssist and develop skills in creating flat mechanical sketches for design development packagesParticipate in creating and distributing tech packagesAssist in approving strike-offs, samples, and other development materialsAcquire skills in using Adobe and CLO p
