Designer – Women's OuterwearOur client is a highly successful women's missy outerwear company known for delivering trend-right, high-quality collections to the marketplace. They are seeking a talented and creative Designer to join their growing design team.This is an outstanding opportunity to work with an exceptional mentor while contributing to the design and development of seasonal outerwear collections from concept through production. The company offers a collaborative environment, strong leadership, and a hybrid schedule with work-from-home Fridays.ResponsibilitiesResearch seasonal fashion trends, fabrics, colors, trims, and silhouettes.Design innovative, commercially successful women's missy outerwear collections.Create detailed technical sketches using Adobe Illustrator.Develop comprehensive tech packs for production.Collaborate with product development, merchandising, and overseas factories throughout the development process.Select fabrics, trims, and garment details that align with brand direction.Ensure all designs meet quality, fit, and production requirements.Manage multiple projects while meeting seasonal calendars and deadlines.Maintain awareness of competitive brands and market trends.Participate in fittings and incorporate fit comments into final designs.Qualifications & Experience2+ years of women's outerwear design experience.Strong creative ability with an exceptional eye for color, trend, and silhouette.Expert proficiency in Adobe Illustrator with outstanding sketching skills.Experience creating detailed tech packs for overseas production.Strong understanding of garment construction, fit, patternmaking, and manufacturing processes.Knowledge of fabrics, trims, and wash/treatment techniques.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.Self-motivated, collaborative, and detail-oriented.
