TECHNICAL DESIGNER - Women's Dresses

Technical Designer Location: Midtown Manhattan, New York CityPosition Type: Full Time, In Office (5 Days Per Week)Salary: $75,000, based on experience About the Role Sandra Darren and Robbie Bee are growing and expanding our Technical Design team. We are seeking an experienced Technical Designer to join our Midtown Manhattan office. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail oriented professional who is passionate about fit, garment construction, and product quality. The ideal candidate will partner closely with the Design team to ensure our garments achieve consistent fit, balance, proportion, and quality across multiple size ranges, including Missy, Petite, and Plus Size collections. Responsibilities Create and maintain technical packages, measurement specifications, and construction details Conduct fit sessions and evaluate garments for fit, balance, proportion, and construction Communicate fit comments and corrections clearly to overseas factories and vendors Collaborate closely with Design, Product Development, and Production teams throughout the development process Review and approve samples through the fit process Ensure consistency of fit and sizing across multiple product categories Track fit approvals and maintain accurate records of revisions and sample status Resolve technical and construction issues to support on time production Monitor garment quality and adherence to company standards Qualifications 5+ years of Technical Design experience in women's apparel Strong understanding of garment construction, patternmaking, grading, and fit Experience conducting fit sessions and communicating fit corrections Proficiency in Excel and Adobe Illustrator Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to manage multiple styles and deadlines simultaneously Excellent communication and problem solving abilities Experience with dresses required Experience fitting both knit AND woven dresses What We're Looking For We are looking for a highly organized Tec
