Nightwear and Loungewear Designer

Are you a talented and commercially minded designer with a passion for sleep and loungewear?IIf so this is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly successful, well-established supplier of ladieswear to major high street retailers and take real ownership of a thriving division. Reporting into the Design Director, you will be responsible for driving the creative and commercial direction of the sleep and loungewear category. You will develop trend-led ranges for key accounts, working directly with buyers to deliver product that is both on-trend and commercially strong.Main Responsibilities and Duties will include :Developing trend direction, mood boards, colour stories and concept designsFabric sourcing and developmentProducing clear, accurate technical packs and line drawingsOverseeing samples through to productionConducting trend research and presenting direction to board levelBuilding strong relationships with buyers and internal sales teamsLiasing with overseas factoriesPerson Specification Proven design experience in women's jersey sleepwear and/or loungewear, from either a supplier or retailer backgroundA strong commercial instinct with a feminine, trend-aware design eyeExperience working with Bangladesh and Cambodia production and factory liaisonThe ability to produce detailed and accurate technical packsSolid knowledge of the UK retail market and its key playersConfident presentation skills with the gravitas to present at a senior levelThe ability to work under pressure, manage multiple deadlines and deliver consistentlyAmbitious, determined and driven with excellent communication skills and meticulous attention to detail Show more Show less
