The company values creativity, attention to detail, and a practical approach to product development that balances style with wearability.Role Description The mens knitwear and basics designer will develop seasonal collections of knitwear and core basics, from concept through final samples. This hybrid role is based in New York, NY, with a mix of in-office work and work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include researching trends, creating mood boards, sketching designs, selecting yarns and fabrics, and collaborating with technical and production teams on fits and construction details. The designer will attend fittings, adjust designs based on feedback, and ensure that garments meet brand standards for aesthetics, comfort, and cost. The role also involves working with vendors and mills, preparing design handoffs, and maintaining clear documentation across the design process.Qualifications Ability to develop concept and mood boards, with strong skills in visual storytelling and collection direction.Trend research skills focused on menswear, knitwear, and basics, including market, consumer, and competitive analysis.Fitting experience, including working with technical design on fit sessions and translating fit feedback into pattern and design updates.Knitting knowledge, such as stitch development, gauge understanding, yarn selection, and familiarity with knitwear construction techniques.Strong sketching skills, both by hand and using digital tools, to clearly communicate design ideas and details.Proficiency with design and CAD software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop) and familiarity with PLM or s
