Sr. Apparel Designer (Juniors)

Design Description We are seeking a talented Senior Apparel Designer to join our team and work closely with the Design Director in creating a trend-forward, juniors' ready-to-wear line with a focus on cut and sew knits, woven bottoms, and sets. This role requires a blend of creativity, organization, and technical expertise to bring fresh, brand-right designs to market. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates superior project management skills, and is passionate about young adult fashion.Please include a portfolio showcasing your design work, particularly in the juniors' or young adult category. We are looking for clean and detailed submissions as part of the interview process. Responsibilities • Design Execution: Produce fast, accurate, and on-trend apparel sketches using Adobe Illustrator for a young adult ready-to-wear collection designed for Walmart.• Project Management: Organize and manage daily tasks to meet critical deadlines, ensuring smooth workflow and timely delivery of projects.• Trend Research: Conduct in-depth research and present relevant, brand appropriate trends aligned with vendor capabilities.• Technical Design: Develop detailed technical packs in PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) to communicate design specifications clearly.• Collaboration: • Partner with the Design Director to relay accurate information to overseas vendors and address customer feedback effectively.Work closely with the graphic design team to align print and graphic direction for the line.Troubleshoot sample issues and propose practical solutions to maintain design integrity and production timelines.• Trend Awareness: Stay updated on market trends through regular trend and competitive shopping.• Documentation: Maintain organized notes and records to track ongoing projects efficiently in a dynamic environment.Requirements:• Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Apparel Design or a related field• 4+ years of full-time professional design experience in cut-and-s
