Work Arrangement

This is a hybrid position. The role is primarily remote, with the expectation that the successful candidate will travel to our Paris showroom and atelier two to three times per month for collection development, client appointments, creative reviews, fittings, and key project milestones.

Additional travel may be required during collection launches, Couture Week, and other major events. ⸻About the RoleYARA SHOEMAKER is seeking an exceptional Haute Couture Embroidery Designer to join our House. This is a unique opportunity to shape the embroidery language of an emerging couture maison, where craftsmanship, innovation, and artistic expression come together.

Working closely with the Creative Director, you will develop original embroidery concepts from initial research through final execution, ensuring every detail reflects the highest standards of couture. ⸻Key Responsibilities* Design original embroidery concepts for Couture and Ready-to-Wear collections.

* Translate creative ideas into embroidery artwork, placements, and technical layouts. * Develop embroidery prototypes and refine designs through fittings and garment development. * Travel to India to oversee embroidery development, working closely with our embroidery partners to supervise sampling, material selection, craftsmanship, production quality, timelines, and cost management while ensuring projects remain within budget.

* Create embroidery files for production and collaborate with embroidery ateliers and manufacturing partners. * Research innovative embroidery techniques, materials, and embellishment methods that elevate each collection.

* Source beads, sequins, crystals, threads, appliqués, and other specialty materials. * Ensure embroidery placement enhances each garment’s silhouette, construction, and overall aesthetic. * Prepare technical documentation for sampling and production.
