Apparel Designer

We are seeking a talented designer to join our team at Astoria Activewear and Haute Swimwear. You will work closely with our creative director in assessing current market trends, creating new concepts for clothing designs and prints, and presenting the final sample for approval before production.

To become successful in this role, you will need to have a very sharp aesthetic eye and attention to detail. You must be able to refine and align your design process with our company's existing design language. A personal passion for women’s clothing and fashion is critical.

Required:Understanding and dedication to stay on top of current trends paired with a strong aesthetic eye and attention to detail. Proven experience in the women’s fashion/clothing design - 4+ years experience preferred.

Create and sketch garments either by CAD (photoshop, illustrator, etc. ) or hand sketch. Select appropriate fabrics, trims, and materials that align with the brand’s aesthetic and ongoing trends. Fit & make necessary adjustments to garments.

Proficiency in creating tech packs and procuring samples from our manufacturer for items in each new line of designs. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Strong communication and organizational skills. Beneficial:Bachelor’s degree in design/fashion or related field.

Personal experience/knowledge of our product and brand. Social media and marketing experience.
