General Summary

The Designer - Fashion Accessories & Belts, Betsey Johnson is responsible for putting together mood boards, sketching, designing concepts, creating tech packs and communicating overseas as well as presenting product to sales team.

This position supports the Wholesale Accessories business. The responsibilities described below are considered essential functions of the role. This position is based in our NYC office and requires working on-site. Key Responsibilities

Putting together mood boards

Sketching

Designing concepts

Creating tech packs

Communicating overseas

Presenting products to sales teams

Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines with support and resources as needed

Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Specific Job Skills

Essential duties include

Strong sketching on illustrator and photoshop skills

Strong specking abilities

Experience in hardware development

Excellent communication and time management skills

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Strong sense of contemporary fashion

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Fashion

Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in belts or fashion accessories industry

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Deep understanding of trends, materials and construction in fashion

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $90,000-$100,000. Ranges are based on various factors such as relevant skillset, training, years of experience related to the current job description, education, and our organizational structure.
