Women's Wear Designer

Looking for a designer with soft wovens and sweaters experience for this designer role. Responsible for creating original concepts that encompass style, color and fabric as a result of interpreting fashion trends. Produces sketches and may make seasonal presentations of proposed designs.

Analyzes fashion trends. Partners with sourcing and materials development. May provide basic fit and body block information and attend fit sessions. Typically reports to Design Director. Bachelor's degree in Design or equivalent experience.

Related design experience. Qualifications

Proven experience designing Women's Soft Wovens and/or Sweaters for a fashion or apparel brand. Strong understanding of women's apparel silhouettes, garment construction, fit, fabrication, sewing techniques, trims, and color.

Experience creating technical sketches, tech packs, and supporting the product development process. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Excel. Excellent trend research, conceptual design, and presentation skills.

Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Show more Show less
