A growing fashion brand is looking for a direct-hire Technical Designer with experience in wovens and knits. Role Description:The Technical Designer oversees technical design and production, including managing fittings, creating and updating specs, evaluating garment construction, and partnering closely with the design team.

This role requires strong attention to detail, a deep understanding of technical design processes, and the ability to translate creative concepts into production-ready garments. The product focus includes soft wovens, cut-and-sew, and fully fashioned knits.

Key Responsibilities:Manage the end-to-end sampling process from proto through TOP, including tracking approvals and communicating fit corrections

Communicate and send production approvals to clients

Measure samples, assess fit and construction, and prepare garments for fittings

Lead fit sessions and document comments, revisions, and approvals

Develop specs for new styles and revise existing specs for design or pattern changes

Create tech packs and sample requests in WFX, and track incoming samples

Maintain fit, construction, and quality standards across all factories

Communicate directly with overseas factories regarding construction and measurement corrections

Partner with design, production, and factories to meet seasonal calendar milestones

Organize and prioritize daily workload in alignment with the design calendar

Qualifications:5+ years of experience in women’s apparel technical design

Experience with imports and overseas sampling is required

Experience working with major retailers

Strong technical design skills, including creating detailed tech packs and maintaining accurate measurements and specifications

Strong fitting skills with the ability to identify and resolve fit issues

Ability to translate design concepts into production-ready tech packs

Experience managing production approvals

Proficiency in PLM systems, preferably WFX, as well as Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word,
