Senior Exterior Automotive Designer

Signum Stile – Milan, Italy (On-site / Hybrid / Freelance Considered)We are seeking a highly creative and technically skilled designer with a proven track record in vehicle development, capable of leading exterior design projects from the initial concept through to the full-scale model and pre-production phase.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the exterior design development of production vehicles, concept cars and one-off projects. Develop original design proposals from initial sketches to final Class-A intent. Produce high-quality sketches, digital renderings and design presentations.

Collaborate closely with Interior Design, CMF, Engineering and CAS teams. Support the development of digital and physical 1:1 models. Follow the project throughout the complete design process, including feasibility reviews, prototype development and pre-production.

Work directly with clients and multidisciplinary teams during project reviews. Requirements

Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Automotive Exterior Design. Proven experience in taking a vehicle from concept sketch through 1:1 model development and pre-production. Strong portfolio demonstrating production vehicles, concept cars or advanced design projects.

Deep understanding of automotive proportions, surfaces, graphics and production constraints. Excellent presentation and communication skills. Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within an international team.

Fluent English (minimum C1 level), both written and spoken. Additional languages are considered
