Designer - Socks & Accessories

Our client, a swim & accessories manufacturer, is seeking a Designer to join their team in NYC! This role requires 4 days onsite in NYC. Responsibilities:Develop seasonal sock and hosiery collections, including concepts, color palettes, and style direction

Create CA Ds, technical sketches, artwork, and tech packs for product development

Research fashion trends, consumer insights, and competitive products to inform design direction

Partner with sourcing, production, and factories to ensure accurate execution from concept to production

Select appropriate yarns, knitting techniques, gauges, and construction methods based on design, performance, and cost objectives

Review and approve development samples

Ensure products meet brand standards and licensing requirements throughout the development process

Collaborate with merchandising and sales teams to build assortments and support retailer presentations

Communicate with overseas vendors and factory partners to resolve development issues and meet deadlines

Qualifications:Experience designing socks, hosiery, or knitwear with a strong portfolio

Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD software

Knowledge of yarns, knitting techniques, gauges, and sock construction

Ability to balance creativity with business objectives and production requirements

Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills

Experience working with licensed brands and international factories is a plus

Familiarity with mass market, off-price, or department store retailers is preferred
