Textile Designer

Edition 169 is seeking an experienced and highly creative Textile Designer to join our growing design team. Working closely with the Head of Design and wider team, you will play a key role in shaping bespoke client requests.

This is a unique opportunity to work on exceptional residential, hospitality, and commercial projects across the UK and internationally, collaborating with some of the world's leading interior designers and architects. The successful candidate will bring significant experience within the luxury rug and/or textile industry, a sophisticated eye for colour and composition, and a passion for creating distinctive, design-led products that push creative boundaries while celebrating craftsmanship.

The Role

You will take ownership of projects from initial concept through to final production, ensuring every design reflects the exceptional standards, creativity, and attention to detail. You will be involved in bespoke client projects, acting as a trusted design partner to both clients and colleagues.

This role requires a balance of creativity, technical expertise, commercial awareness, and project management skills. You will also represent the brand within the design community, helping to strengthen relationships with interior designers, architects, and key industry contacts.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Product Development

Create bespoke rug and textile concepts for luxury residential, hospitality, and commercial projects. Adapt and customise existing designs to meet specific client requirements and project briefs. Translate artwork, concepts, and creative direction into production-ready rug and textile designs.

Work closely with manufacturing partners to ensure design integrity is maintained throughout production. Produce detailed design specifications and technical documentation to support development and manufacturing processes.

Client & Industry Collaboration

Collaborate with leading interior designers, architects, and specifiers on bespoke projects. Present concep
