Senior Surface Designer

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Surface Designer to join our Engineering Vehicle Design group, to provide advanced surfacing expertise across a variety of high-performance motorsport programmes. You will be supporting the design, development and delivery of aerodynamic and structural vehicle surfaces from concept through to manufacture and track deployment.

Key Responsibilities

Design aerodynamic and structural surfaces across the vehicle. Work closely with CFD and Structural Analysts to develop and optimise robust surface models. Produce concept designs and detailed engineering solutions that meet performance, weight and cost targets.

Deliver CAD assemblies and detailed designs to agreed timelines and budgets. Release parts and assembly structures onto Bills of Materials. Ensure Bills of Materials are accurate, current and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

Understand and consider the commercial impact of design decisions on component manufacture and future Bill of Materials costs. Support design reviews and continuous improvement activities across programmes. Liaison with external suppliers, as well as internal departments and stakeholders to ensure designs are manufacturable, robust and delivered to programme requirements.
