Who are we looking for? At Barrie Knitwear, we are proud to produce luxury cashmere garments of exceptional quality using industry-leading technology and craftsmanship. We are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Knitter to join our world class Development team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art Shima Seiki machinery within a highly skilled manufacturing environment. Supporting the manufacture of protypes and submissions enabling effective bulk manufacture.

You will work at the cutting edge of our development department producing prototype garments for globally recognised luxury brands. We are seeking someone with previous knitting experience within a textile manufacturing environment, who has a strong technical mindset and takes pride in producing high-quality work.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, reliable, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively with internal stakeholders. Who is Barrie Knitwear? We supply to some of the most prestigious luxury fashion houses across the world. This is an exciting time for us as we continue to expand and transform. What will you be doing? As an Experienced Knitter, you will play a key role within our development department, operating and monitoring Shima knitting machines to ensure the efficient production of high-quality garment panels to specification for show collections, salesrooms.

Key duties summarised below:Operate and monitor Shima Seiki knitting machines to produce garment panels to specification and quality standards

Set up machines for production runs, including yarn preparation and programme loading

Identify and resolve machine faults and knit
