Junior Apparel Designer

The Junior Apparel Designer supports the Apparel Design Director in bringing Printfresh's joyful, print-forward collections to life. This hands-on role will help translate seasonal concepts into accurate, production-ready apparel through CA Ds, colorways, embroidery layouts, sample review, and development follow-through.
This is a strong opportunity for an early-career designer who is organized, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within a creative, print-led, and size-inclusive brand. This is a full-time, in-house position, working out of our Philadelphia office M-F.
Responsibilities
Create and update apparel CA Ds, technical flats, and construction sketches
Develop colorways, print minibodies, artwork mockups, and print placements
Assist with embroidery layouts, placement diagrams, scale, and color callouts
Participate in proto and sample reviews and prepare clear design comments
Update CA Ds, artwork, and technical information based on sample feedback
Track revisions, approvals, samples, and open development items
Create and maintain tech packs in partnership with Product Development and Technical Design
Keep seasonal files, physical working boards, line plans, and presentation decks accurate and current
Collaborate with Print and CAD, Product Development, Technical Design, Production, and Merchandising to keep seasonal development organized and on schedule
Experience with tech packs, embroidery, PLM systems, sample commenting, or overseas development is a plus
Requirements1-3 years of apparel or fashion-design experience; strong internships or relevant freelance experience may be considered
Degree in Fashion Design or a related field preferred
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
Experience creating apparel CA Ds, technical flats, and artwork mockups
Strong eye for color, print, scale, proportion, and detail
Foundational understanding of garment construction and the apparel-development process
