It has to stand up to the intensity of the game, move with the player and carry the pride of the team, from training ground to match day and beyond. The Colour Designer shapes Canterbury's seasonal colour identity and supports the consistent application of colour across product ranges.

What you’ll be doing:Create seasonal colour palettes, mood boards and product colourways for Canterbury ranges. Monitor colour trends, market activity and consumer shifts to inform colour decisions. Ensure colour consistency across fabrics, trims, graphics and product categories.

Partner with designers and development teams to translate concepts into production-ready colourways. Work with suppliers to manage colour approvals, lab dips, prototypes and issue resolution. Support merchandising and marketing teams with colour storytelling and product imagery needs.

Consider durability, wash performance, sustainability and quality when making colour recommendations. Maintain accurate colour documentation and support PLM data where required. Maintain design documentation, colour, material and graphic handovers so Development and Sourcing can progress work accurately and on time.

Use prototype reviews, fit sessions and sample feedback to refine product detail while protecting the intended design handwriting. Develop seasonal colour palettes, colourways and colour narratives that support brand and product stories.

Monitor colour, consumer and competitor trends to inform commercially relevant colour decisions. Partner with Design, Materials and Development to manage colour feasibility, consistency and approvals. Maintain accurate colour information across design files, PLM and seasonal documentation.
