Sr. Designer, Knitwear

SUMMARY:This role will utilize their strong acumen for fashion to create and interpret concepts to generate final products for the Show Me Your Mumu Global Collection. They will collaborate with different departments to manage the development of the collection from initial concept to production.

This is a permanent full time position for a candidate who truly understands the contemporary womenswear market and can apply it to the passion of their work. This position will also utilize their organizational skills to work independently to accomplish design company goals.

This role is hybrid and may work up to 2 days remotely each week. Candidates must be within commuting distance of the Mumu HQ in Downtown Los Angeles. CORE DUTIES:Collaborate with the Design Director and cross-functional team members to build brand specific product that supports Show Me Your Mumu’s financial and merchandising strategies

Support Design Director in overall design and development of all knitwear and cut+sew styles in each seasonal collection

Research knitwear inspiration to create a cohesive concept each season, reviewing emerging trends + shapes, and exploring local markets

Partner with Design Director and PD on seasonal yarn selection and development of new concepts

Sketch/CAD all knitwear and cut+sew styles, maintaining all sketch revisions during design process

Maintain linesheets and design boards with updated sketches, fabrics, and design info of designated groups for all design presentations (such as weekly review meetings, proto reviews, production pass off, etc. )Partner with PD to maintain linesheets with updated development/timeline info (ie.

dates - 1st proto received, 1st proto fit, SMS received, etc. ) and notes of any delays for all meetings/weekly reviews (such as weekly review meetings, proto reviews, production pass off, etc. )Support with preparation for meetings by helping to gather all necessary information/materials and accurately take notes during meetings
