EXCITING GRAPHIC DESIGNER ROLE OPPORTUNITY!! JOB DESCRIPTION: Duchess & Alleycat are looking for an experienced print & packaging designer to work as part of our fast-growing team in Glasgow. A leading print & packaging company that specialise in the hospitality & drinks sector, Duchess & Alleycat offers an exciting and varied workload.

With a diverse and renowned client base, ranging from International brands such as Jumeirah Hotel Group, Sexy Fish, Johnnie Walker, The Standard Hotels, The Ivy Restaurants and Tanqueray, to smaller British start-ups & independents, such as Paesano, Eusebi Deli and Six by Nico - no two days are the same.

Reporting directly to the Head of Design, this is a fast-paced and hands-on role. We are looking for someone highly motivated & organised, with great initiative and a can-do attitude. The right candidate will need to be dynamic and able to work well under pressure.

You’ll be involved across multiple projects at once, so must have the ability to independently complete smaller projects, [from initial concept brief, to final print-ready artwork], as well as, work well as part of a team, on larger projects & deadlines.

GRAPHIC DESIGNER REQUIREMENTS:A degree in Graphic Design or similar creative discipline. Proven experience working as a Graphic Designer across both print & packaging projects. Excellent attention to detail. [This is very important!

]Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of print specs & production: ie. PMS references & how they differ on coated/uncoated stocks and between digital and litho print etc. A high level of competency in the latest Adobe Creative Suite is essential, in particular using Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.

A high level of competence in Microsoft Office software – PowerPoint, Word, Excel etc. Highly creative with the ability to demonstrate excellent layout, typography, and art direction skills. Experience in the design of structural packaging for consumer products and creating effective
