Proenza Schouler is seeking a creative and highly organized Print & Pattern Designer to lead seasonal print, color, embroidery, and graphic development from concept through production. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with the Creative Director, Design, and production teams while managing artwork, color standards, supplier communication, and seasonal archives.

Responsibilities Seasonal Print & Artwork Development

Partner with the Creative Director and Design team to develop the print and artwork direction for each collection. Research and develop seasonal print concepts informed by the collection's overall inspiration, color direction, and visual language.

Create original artwork through a combination of hand-drawn, painted, collaged, and digital techniques. Prepare technical artwork packages, pitch sheets, layouts, and files for mills and suppliers. Manage artwork revisions and troubleshoot color issues throughout the development process to ensure final files meet production specifications.

Take ownership of projects from initial concept through final execution while managing multiple deadlines simultaneously. Develop all-over repeats, engineered prints, placements, borders, stripes, graphics, and other textile artwork, including artwork for towels, jacquards, yarn-dyes and more.

Develop artwork for Main Line, White Label, Accessories, and special projects. Create embroideries and custom layouts across all departments. Work with atelier on embroidery layouts and execution of samples, especially as it relates to alterations and tasks around a seasonal show.

Develop branded trims, including packaging, button bags, hangtags, ect. Color Direction

Partner closely with the Creative Director and Design team to establish and develop seasonal color palettes. Responsible for executing and distributing the physical and digital copies to all departments. Maintain and manage updates to the seasonal color palettes across the collection.
