Vollzeit(Senior) Footwear Developer (w/m/d) at medi in Bayreuth

Innovation. Technology. Movement. Are you passionate about performance products and eager to actively shape the future of our running shoe? In this role, you will take full responsibility for the development process of high-end running shoes—from the initial idea to the market-ready product.

Working together with an interdisciplinary team, you will align design, functionality, and quality, ensuring that our vision hits the road. Your Tasks

Project Management: End-to-end coordination of the development process from the concept phase to the confirmation sample. Interface Management: Close collaboration with design, product management, development, as well as material and manufacturing partners.

Requirements Translation: Converting briefings into technical specifications and development parameters. Quality Assurance: Review and approval of all samples with regard to functionality, design, cost, and timeline. Process Optimization: Continuous improvement of materials and processes with a focus on performance, sustainability, and efficiency.

You Bring This With You

Completed degree in footwear engineering, product development, engineering, sports technology, or a comparable field

Several years of experience in the development of performance footwear, ideally with a focus on running

Hands-on experience in fit & wear management as well as knowledge of midsole components, foams, materials, and manufacturing technologies

Proficiency in CAD systems, development software, and tools for technical specifications, along with experience collaborating with global production partners (particularly in Asia)Willingness to travel for business

Very good English skills (at least B2 level) and strong German language skills
