Role Description The Product Developer – Swimwear/Cover-Ups will manage the development process from concept through production for swimwear and cover-up categories. Responsibilities include translating design concepts into samples, sourcing and evaluating fabrics, trims, and materials suitable for swimwear & cover-ups, costing, calendar building, and partnering with factories on sampling, fit approvals, and quality standards.
The role involves coordinating timelines, tracking samples and costs, and collaborating with design, production, and merchandising to ensure products meet brand aesthetic, performance, and margin goals. This is a full-time, on-site role based in New York, NY, requiring daily in-person collaboration with cross-functional partners and vendors.
Qualifications
Product Development skills to execute concepts from idea to finished product. Product Management skills to oversee fabric development & sourcing, manage timelines, costs, quality, and cross-functional communication with designers, production teams, and technical teams throughout the development lifecycle.
Strong written and verbal Communication skills for effective collaboration with overseas factories and supply chain, designers, technical, production, and vendor teams. Ability to assess material performance; experience with technical aspects of apparel, textiles, or related fields.
