Junior Textile Designer

John Robshaw Textiles is a leading textiles company based in New York City. We are a boutique line focusing on handcrafted technique with products made in India and Southeast Asia. We are seeking an energetic Junior Designer to join our team.

JOB DESCRIPTION: · Salary range: $45,000–$52,000 annually· All aspects of design, including but not limited to: print development, product development, creating block/screen/rotary repeats, construction specs, packaging specs.

· Must know how to make a repeating pattern- knowledge of block printing a plus · Creating Google spreadsheets, spec sheets & tech packages for season sampling development. Following up on packages & products until handing off to production.

· Product development with overseas factories for sampling & miscellaneous orders · Working closely with Production & Sales · This position requires knowledge of the home bedding industry standards as well as market awareness REQUIREMENTS: · Must be based in New York· In-office position· Expert proficiency with Mac Platform; Strong Photoshop skills are essential as well as a working knowledge of Illustrator and Indesign · Expert proficiency in Google Suite · Excellent organizational and communication skills · Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects while adhering to intense deadlines · Ability to work well independently & in a team · Must be a problem solver, proactive worker and not reactive.
