Senior Textile Designer

Kay Dee Designs, Inc. is a 75-year-old, family-owned company and one of the most recognized suppliers of kitchen textiles and related home products in the industry.

We are seeking an experienced, creative, and highly organized Senior Textile Designer to join our busy design team. This role centers on adapting artwork from licensed artists and customers into cohesive kitchen textile collections, then managing those collections through sampling, revisions, approvals, and final production.

Responsibilities· Edit, manipulate, recolor, clean, and adapt licensed and customer-supplied artwork while preserving the style of the original artist. · Translate artwork into coordinated collections and place it within established templates for towels, aprons, oven mitts, potholders, table linens, and related products.

· Create seamless repeats, colorways, color separations, typography, borders, and coordinating design elements; prepare accurate production-ready files. · Apply artwork appropriately across printed textiles, woven constructions, embroidery, applique, trims, and dimensional details.

· Develop original artwork and collection concepts when appropriate. · Manage assigned and custom customer collections from initial development through specifications, sampling, revisions, approvals, and production. · Maintain project schedules and meet seasonal, production, and customer-specific deadlines.

· Review strike-offs, lab dips, embroidery and woven samples, trims, and finished products; communicate clear corrections to domestic and overseas vendors. · Collaborate with design, product development, merchandising, sales, and marketing teams on collections and key-account presentations.
