About The Role
As Technical Designer, you will execute technical product specifications for multiple complex programs within Kohl’s Proprietary Brands. What You’ll DoDevelop accurate technical specifications aligning with Kohl’s brand ID, minimum construction standards, tolerances and grading requirements
Collaborate with Product Integrity to ensure products meet performance testing protocols and requirements
Conduct benchmarking and remain current on market trends and competition, providing recommendations based on insights
Apply industry knowledge to resolve fit and production issues, fostering supplier and peer relationships
Demonstrate proficiency in grading and consistency management, aligning with Technical Design Leadership and suppliers to implement changes
Prepare for the Seasonal Sample Fit Benchmark by reviewing samples and presenting hypotheses for product improvements
Guide new hires on Kohl’s processes and procedures
Communicate technical specifications and collaborate with Vendors via PLM during product development
Communicate sample corrections clearly to Vendors through written summaries, sketches and photos
Support vendor onboarding and Certified Technical Designer training

Required
What Skills You Have5+ years of experience in Technical Design, Fashion Design, Pattern Making, Manufacturing or related industries
Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational skills
Effective verbal and written communication abilities
Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Manufacturing or a related field of expertise
Preferred Experience using PLM and Adobe Illustrator or similar specification packages and sketching programs
Knowledge of textiles, construction and pattern-making/grading
This role is based at our New York Design Office. You’ll work onsite from Monday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Fridays. Pay Range: $90,600.00 - $153,100.00 Kohl’s offers a variety of benefits to associates depending on full-time/p
