Embroidery Designer

Ashi Studio is seeking a Haute Couture Embroidery Designer. The ideal candidate has solid experience in haute couture embroidery, a strong creative eye, and the technical knowledge to turn bold ideas into exceptional hand-worked pieces.

Responsibilities:Design embroidery and embellishment for haute couture collections and bespoke pieces, from first sketch to final sample

Develop motifs, placements and technical drawings based on the creative direction

Create samples and test techniques, materials and effects on fabric

Select beads, crystals, sequins, threads and other materials

Brief and follow up with embroidery ateliers to ensure quality and meet deadlines

Collaborate closely with the design, pattern making and tailoring teams to ensure perfect execution

Requirements:Minimum 10 years of experience in a haute couture house, luxury atelier or embroidery atelier

Expert knowledge of hand embroidery techniques (Lunéville, beading, appliqué, 3D work)Strong drawing skills, by hand and in Illustrator / Photoshop

Exceptional eye for detail, colour and proportion

Strong communication and teamwork skills
