Graphic Designer & Print Room Assistant

We are currently seeking an experienced creative professional to join the team at our Chichester branch. The Role

This role is focused on graphic design for print and you will also be responsible for helping with production and customer service. You will spend time creating high-quality layouts, preparing flawless print-ready artwork, and handling client briefs.

The remaining time will be spent assisting in the print room with finishing or helping clients at the front counter. There will also be the requirement to make local deliveries. Key Responsibilities

Creative Design: Create layouts and original artwork for flyers, brochures, banners, corporate stationery, and signage. You will need to estimate the cost of projects and ensure profitably when managing customer briefs. Pre-Press & Artworking: Review client-supplied files, fix bleeds, margins, and resolution issues, and output print-ready PD Fs.

Production Support: Assist with light print room duties, including trimming, laminating, binding, and packing finished jobs. Training will be given on Tharstern so you can produce quotes and book jobs in to production. Customer Service: Answer phone queries, respond to design emails, take briefs from walk-in clients, and manage proofs.

What We Are Looking For

Proven Print Industry Experience: You must have demonstrable, hands-on experience working as a graphic designer within a commercial print, sign shop, or reprographics environment. Expert Software Skills: Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.

Technical Print Knowledge: A deep understanding of CMYK vs. RGB, spot colours, bleed, imposition, and variable data. Client Facing Skills: Excellent communication skills to comfortably ha
