They are a small but growing brand based on the outskirts of Manchester & they are looking for a Mid-weight Womenswear Designer to join their team. Known for their trend-driven and inclusive approach to fashion, they are looking for a creative Senior Designer who can help shape the brand’s design direction and develop innovative collections that resonate with their customer.
The Role
Keep a close eye on the market, from emerging colour, yarn, silhouette and finishing trends to what shoppers are buying and what competitors are launching, and use those insights to steer the design roadmap. Take ideas from first sketch through to finished tech packs and specifications, choosing the right methods and techniques for every style.
Work alongside Account Managers, the Head of Design and Garment Technology so that creative vision and commercial goals stay in step. Manage the calendar for your collections, making sure every stage of design work hits key milestones and supports wider business priorities.
Partner with our overseas teams to drive sample development and sourcing, keeping production on track for customer delivery dates. Present concepts and samples directly to customers in regular meetings, building strong relationships with buying teams and making sure their briefs are met.
Sign off final line-ups, confirming that each range delivers what customers want and what the business needs. About You3+ years in design ideally working on the supplier side and in wovens & jersey
Confident working in Adobe Illustrator. A sound grasp of garment construction, with a practical feel for what drives cost and a commercial approach to fabric choices. A portfolio showing your tech packs and artwork. Hands-on experience working with overseas teams to take samples from development to approval. Salary is
