Senior Knitwear designer

Our client is a leading ladieswear supplier, supplying to the UK's key High Street retailers. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a full time Senior Knitwear Designer to join their busy design team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced knitwear designer with a strong commercial eye and a passion for creating fashion-led, bestselling ranges.

The role suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working closely with buyers. Main responsibilities will include:Designing and developing knitwear ranges based on briefs for a number of key clients.

Researching the latest fashion trends, producing trend boards and creating seasonal trend and directional reports, presenting these back to buyers. Working with buyers to produce bestselling styles. Liaising with overseas factories on a daily basis.

Supporting the design team and being a key member of the team in creating commercial, fashion-led knitwear. Person Specification

Previous experience at mid to senior design level in a knitwear design role. Previous supplier experience. Proficient in CAD and Illustrator. Confident presenting to buyers. Strong commercial eye, with the ability to interpret trends.

Proactive, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines. Show more Show less
