This FULL TIME - ONSITE role for a Clothing Designer specializing in knitwear, denim, is based in the Los Angeles California USA, The designer will create and develop seasonal collections across knitwear, denim, and outerwear categories, translating brand direction and market trends into commercially viable designs.

Day-to-day tasks include researching trends and fabrics, preparing sketches and technical design packs, coordinating with sample rooms, and overseeing fittings to ensure accurate construction and sizing. The role involves close collaboration with merchandising, production, and sourcing teams to balance aesthetics, cost, and manufacturability, while maintaining consistency with Grand Step’s quality and brand standards.

The designer will also review samples, provide clear feedback to factories, and support continuous improvement in product design and fit. Qualifications

Strong Fashion Design and Fashion skills, with a proven ability to design knitwear, denim, and outerwear collections. Solid knowledge of Textiles, including yarns, denim constructions, fabric weights, and finishing techniques relevant to outerwear.

Experience in Fitting, with the ability to assess garment fit, make pattern and construction recommendations, and communicate technical comments clearly. Proficiency in Embroidery and decorative applications as they relate to knitwear, denim, and outerwear detailing.
