Nobody’s Child is looking for a talented and highly experienced Senior Knitwear and Jersey Designer to join our dynamic Design team. We are seeking a creative leader with an exceptional eye for trend, colour, yarn development and silhouette, who can confidently translate inspiration into commercially successful collections.

This is a fantastic opportunity to influence the direction of two key product categories and contribute to the continued growth of one of the UK’s most exciting fashion brands. Day to day, you'll be responsible for: Lead the design and development of seasonal knitwear collections, ensuring a clear and consistent brand handwriting that resonates with the NC customer.

Translate emerging fashion trends and market activity into relevant, desirable and commercially viable product for our target customer. Develop seasonal concepts, colour palettes, yarn directions and key items to present to key stakeholders.

Ensure a cohesive design direction across the collection, with a clear understanding of outfit building and the wider womenswear range. Demonstrate a strong understanding of the UK womenswear market, competitor landscape and emerging opportunities.

Conduct ongoing trend research through catwalk analysis, comp shops, social media, forecasting platforms and cultural influences. Demonstrate excellent technical knowledge of knitwear construction and produce clear design specifications & tech packs for suppliers.

Drive innovation in yarn development & techniques, including sustainability. Oversee sample development and fittings to ensure product quality and fit
